Rudy Gobert Career Stats

Nov 21st 2018

When it comes to the Utah Jazz’s defensive efforts, Rudy Gobert is a dominant presence. Named the 2018 NBA Defensive Player of the year, it’s no surprise that Gobert puts up impressive defensive stats. Not only is he a whopping 7-foot 1-inch-tall barrier between the opponent's offense and the net, but he’s exceptional at getting defensive rebounds for his team. He led the league in blocks per game during the 2017-18 season with 2.5 blocks per game.

However, Gobert isn’t just a one-trick pony. The Frenchman is also good on offense. His size makes him difficult to stop when he’s heading in for a layup. During the 2017-18 season, Gobert averaged 13.5 points per game. Gobert also had eight double-doubles throughout the season and 2.3 blocks per game.

Gobert declared for the NBA Draft in 2013. During the NBA Draft Combine, he set the record for the standing reach at 9 feet 7 inches and wingspan at 7 feet 8.5 inches. Walter Tavares broke his wingspan record in 2014, and Mohamed Bamba broke his standing reach record in 2018.

The Denver Nuggets drafted Gobert, but he was traded to the Utah Jazz on draft night. He is currently in his sixth season with the Jazz. Here’s a look at Gobert’s stats for his whole career with the Jazz:
